{Relax}

Hi everyone,

It was raining cats and dogs today in Cali... and you know Californians don't fare so well in the rain so there were massive accidents on the freeway. I drove by a five car pile-up that just looked gnarly, airbags had gone off and everything. It really wasn't pretty and made me say a prayer real quick. I hope everyone is okay. Well on the bright side the rain is supposed to stop tomorrow and I was in need of a little more masculine card soo I decided to go with a summer-y beach-y card.

The stamps I used are all from the Verve set Relax and the papers are from the Ooh La La collection for him by My Mind's Eye and the sketch is a past Mojo Monday sketch.

Oh and to get that nice inside border of my white circle I simply used my Nestie, took a Copic Marker and ran the marker along the inside of the Nestie Circle.

Thank you so much for stopping by!
'til next time,

Sony

{Tote-ally Fantastic}

I really fell in love with this color combo when I made my Wednesday Stamp Club card soo I sorta made a second card that day, using the same color scheme...hehe I just didn't really get around to posting it until now.

The stamps are from the set Tote-ally Fantastic by My Favorite Things, a spunky sassy set I love to go to because it puts a smile on my face everytime. I made the cute little banner using the Banner CutUps dies by the Cat's Pajamas...this is also where I get my Divine Twine which you see twirling around the banner. The papers are a mix and mash from My Mind's Eye Ooh La La and Quite Contrary. Some Stickles Glitter to the banner, two cute little buttons and a mini library clip complete the whole thing.

thanks so much for stopping by,

~ Sony

{All You Need...} TCP Tuesday 143

Hello everybody and a happy happy Tuesday to you!!!
This week we have a stamp challenge for you over at TCP Tuesday: Susan is our hostess with the mostess and her challenge for us is I {Heart} Love -  use a TCP stamp that contains the word "Love" or "Heart".  Not  all that hard right?! Especially since Valentine's Day is just around the corner!!!
Click here to see all the deets on Alma's Blog!

So I'm showing off one of our newest sets over at the Cat's Pajamas. It's the Penguin from Got Love
and how can you not love a floating penguin?!

 I colored him using copic markers, a white pen for the highlights and then I
added some Crystal Effects to the balloons for some shine and some Stickles Glitter to the flowers
for some spark! :)

Oh and the cute cloud background?! I made that by sponging different ink on paper first, then
stamped the clouds from the Happy Camper set and colored them in with a white ink pen.
Voila - you made your own DP. :)

Thanks so much for stopping by!!

{Birthday Cake} MFT's Wednesday Stamp Club

Happy Monday everyone,

I needed a little break from drawing and designing this morning soo I took the chance to play along with this week's Wednesday Stamp Club challenge by My Favorite Things. This week Kim is challenging us to use her sketch and what a fun sketch it is.

To make everything fit just right I had to "shorten" my Birthday Girl just a wee bit and I angled the sentiment...just because it was fun. :) The papers I used are all from My Mind's Eye but different collections. I used the Ooh La La for him and paired it with some Quite Contrary papers. It's fun to mix different collections and also...more importantly really...keeps things interesting and keeps me from going out and buying more papers. The wonky swanky heart is cut out using the Heart Trio CutUps die from the Cat's Pajamas.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a great
start to the week!!!  Time for me to get back to drawing :)

{For You}

Hi everyone,

I'm just dropping in real quick to share this card I made using the Verve set Great Friends. I managed to keep this card relatively clean and simple which if you know me was really quite the challenge for me. I always want to add something here or there so this was somethin' else lol.

The polka-dotted paper is from the Ducks in a Row collection by October Afternoon and the striped paper is from the Ooh La La collection by My Mind's Eye. Oh and to give your flower that little extra oomphf  simply use your X-acto knife, trace around some of the petals and fluff them up a bit. It'll make your flower look more three dimensional. :)

thanks so much for stopping by,
'til next time,

~ Sony

My vacation came to an end...sadly...although I am happy to be back in town. As much as I love traveling it's always nice to come back to your own four walls isn't it? This year has really started off great for me: I did very well in school last term (4 A's so far, I'm waiting on the last grade to come in), I had a very nice gentleman help me lift my suitcase off the baggage claim, I got to work last Friday and see a lot of old friends again aaand I'll also have some exciting  stamping news for you all next month. Yay for 2011!! lol
