{Easter Joy} Diva Inspirations

Hi guys,

I'm back with another Diva Inspiration card for you. I tried something a little bit different this time: I had come across a Tim Holtz demo video on Distress Inks and decided to give that a try. I posted the tutorial here for you and I used the techniques shown in that video to get that red/peach/yellow tie dye patterned paper you see on my card.

Here's the video:

Fun right?
I took some vanilla cardstock, crinkled it up and stamped melon mambo across the raised creases. Then I took my crushed curry and mountain rose stamp pads and padded them onto my non-stick craft sheet. I sprayed some water on the ink and padded my cardstock on the ink, then applied some heat to dry the cardstock. As finishing touches I darkened the edges and used stamps from Accent Notes and Bountiful Background to make my patterned paper.

Now to the rest of the card: the sentiment and the easter eggs are both from the set Easter Joy. I also used Verve's Classy Label Die and Embossed Oval die...looove them!!! Oh and then I had lots of fun embellishing with Liquid Pearls...they save me from having to pull out my sewing machine ;).
The yellow patterned paper is from the Fine and Dandy collection by My Mind's Eye and the brown polka dotted paper is from the Fly a Kite collection by October Afternoon.

thanks so much for stopping by...
have a wonderful week and have a happy and blessed Easter!!!

{Ducky Easter} Diva Inspirations

Hii guys,

well it's about time I'm back with another Diva Inspirations card don't you think?
I sure thought so and with Easter right around the corner....how about a Verve-y Easter Blessings card?
I paired some old with some new to make this card:
The cute ducky is from the newly released set Lucky Ducky. The sentiment is from the set Egg-stra Special and the adorable frame is from the set To The Moon. I "hung" the frame up using some Divine Twine (available at the Cat's Pajamas)  and a brad,

The papers are mostly from the Fly a Kite collection by October Afternoon. The teal Zigzag DP is from the Fine and Dandy collection by My Mind's Eye and the green DP I used to paperpiece the ducky is from the Girl Friday collection by Cosmo Cricket.

thanks so much for stopping in today,
have a great week!!!

{All Year 'Round...} Photo Cube Pt.2

Hi Guys,

as promised I'm back with some wrapping paper and a tag.....aaaand this is what that looks like:

I basically just took some kraft colored plain wrapping paper, laid it out and stamped it up using cute baby Sprinkle from the Cat's Pajamas and the cute sentiment "welcome little one". Both of these stamps are available only in rubber format at the Cat Pajamas. I colored some of the sprinkles in with Stampin' Write markers and stamped the sentiment in pink.

For the tag I stamped the sentiment "Oh Baby" from the set Oh Baby Make to make the patterned background paper. I used the sweet scallop die from Verve for the actual tag.

thanks so much for stopping by!!!

But before I officially sign off ...by the way don't worry you'll still be seeing lots of TCP goodness over here...officially or not... ;) I wanted to share the baby shower gift I made for a very dear friend of mine.

{Birthday Mini Tags} TCP Tuesday153 & a sad sad farewell

Hi guys,

I'm so sad to tell you guys that this will be my last TCP Tuesday color challenge. I've had to make the heartbreaking decision to leave my beloved Cat Pack so I have more time to focus on my school work. It  truly sucks being a grown-up sometimes doesn't it?!
But don't fear: Tori will take over the color challenge for me and she is going to pick some amazing colors for you all I'm sure of it. Well I do like to go out with a bang and that means one of my all-time favorite color combos: Teal, Orange and Yellow

Wanna play?!
All you have to do is create something using this color scheme and upload your creations to the guestbook on Alma's Blog. Each week there'll be a winner, randomly chosen and accounced the following week on Alma's Blog. There will also be one winner crowned the Swanky Stamper of the month and that lucky one gets to play along with the Cat Pack at the next Release!!

now on to my little project here:
I got inspired to make some cute little Mini Tags and I gave you not one but three versions that will hopefully give you some inspiration on how you can play with these colors:

{Rain or Shine} SFYTT & Unity

Hi guys and a happy happy weekend to you all,

this is my last weekend of free time before the mayhem of school starts back up for me aaand I actually did some relaxing today, no running errands, no working on personal projects...no I went to the beach with friends and it was just the perfect day. The weather was gorgeous! We found the perfect parking spot, right by the stairs leading down to the beach by the Santa Monica Pier. We had a fantastic lunch at this little Indian place. It was delicious!! Oh and then we had front row seats to watching this poor guy who was completely intoxicated, fall all over the place and then he eventually got himself arrested. It was quite the day....minus the hour and a half it took to get back home (rush hour...gotta love LA). Oh but best of all it looks as though I didn't get sunburned!!!! Yay!! That is quite the accomplishment considering I haven't been in the sun for months!

But let me get on and tell you about our SFYTT challenge this month. Are you ready?! This month's challenge is being sponsored by Unity Stamps so be sure to stop by Jen's Blog to enter your creations and see what goodies you can win.

For my card here I'm using their Rain or Shine stamp. The papers are from the Quite Contrary collection by My Mind's Eye.

Well this is when I should probably break the bittersweet news to you all: bitter because we're saying farewell to two of our fabulous sisters and sweet because we're welcoming a new sister into our midst so let me make this quick....like pulling off a bandaid: Amy R. and Leigh are leaving and Terri Moore is joining. Please stop by their blogs to say your farewells and welcomes!!!
Here's your Sisterhood lineup:

and a special warm welcome to our guest designer this month: Jen Shults - yay Jen!!! We're so glad to have you!!
Amber Hight

that's all I have for you today folks!!!
