{A Lil Latte} SFYTT

Hi everyone!!! My what a busy month July is going to be!! Not only is it my birthday this month, we are also having an absolutely amazing release over at the Cat's Pajamas and we're also now an official member company at Splitcoaststampers where we are going to have our first release party ever - YAY -... oh and then there is all my personal stuff (school or job - who knows what I'll be doing in a few weeks) ahhh life can be interesting can't it?

But for now I'd just like to share my SFYTT card with you. Jen has come up with yet another awesome sketch!! I don't know how she does it...really...I have no idea! Every week after week she comes up with a great sketch - gotta love her!! And she's an amazing person on top of all that talent too. :)

Soo as I mentioned last week I got these beautiful, awe-inspiring papers (the fabulous Amy Sheffer made me get 'em :) - they are called Petite Pages by Webster's Pages and you can get them over at Stamper's Dream.
The brown polka dotted paper is from the Fly a Kite pack by October Afternoon.

This card required a lot of heavy distressing. For that I used Antique Linen, Vintage Photo and Frayed Burlap (in that order, from lightest to darkest) by Ranger Distress Ink.

The beautiful lace ribbon is from My Favorite Things. It was a bit bright for the card so I sponged some Vintage Photo on it, to take it down.

My image is from Skipping Stones Designs. My day yesterday started off with me wanting to rip my hair out as I was trying to learn this 3D/Animation software program called Maya. What a *#&!@ complex program that is!!!
Anyway, I finally got some things to work the way I wanted them too and I was so excited about that, I felt I had to pick a set that would make me laugh. That's why I decided to throw in a little Coffee humor. :)

So that about wraps it up for me!!
Thank you so very much for stopping by! OUH - make sure you tune back in a week or two so because that's when we will start previewing the Cat's Pajamas' new releases and there will be Prizes for you too!!

Also please be sure to stop by my SFYTT Sister's blogs and see what they've done with this fab sketch! We all have very different styles so it's always fun to see what the next one has come up with!
* Jen del Muro and please welcome our July Guest Designer Sandra MacLean
* Amy Sheffer (on vacation this week)
* Jenn Diercks (will be posting a little later)
* Kelly Lunceford (sitting this one out)

Would YOU like to join our fun crew for a month and get featured on Jen's Blog?! All you have to do is play along with us, upload your creation to Jen's Blog and let her pick you! :) Best of luck and HAPPY STAMPING!!!

{Men} SFYTT & A PRIZE 4 U

Happy Saturday to you all!!! And welcome to my "green" take on men. :) Oh while we're talking about men...can you tell me why is it that all the men you're interested in are not interested in you and all the men you are not interested in, are interested in you?! How does that work? I just don't get that [sigh] ah men...lol

Anyway this week is a very special week at SFYTT because Skipping Stones Design is sponsoring our sketch challenge and you'll never guess what's in it for you: one lucky winner will take home 2...yup you heard me TWO UNRELEASED stamp sets!!! (and just a hint for all you vampire/werewolf fans out there - one of them is twilight inspired and I just a sneak peak - LADIES you're gonna want this one let me tell ya)
Isn't that just fun?!
All you have to do to enter for your chance to win is create a beautiful card using Jen's sketch here and post it on her blog.

Now I gotta admit Skipping Stones Designs has a special place in my heart just because of this stamp set right here: Funny about Men!!! It's hysterical - it still makes me laugh out loud when I read these hilarious sentiments. I mean how could it not?!

I went back to the basics with my card here because I really liked the overall clean feel of this sketch and the sort of green look of it so I didn't want to clutter it up with stitches or borders or embellies.
I know it's shocking right?! hehe

My patterned papers here are all from the Cosmo Cricket Boyfriend collection. The stamps are all from the Funny About Men set by Skipping Stones Designs and the clear buttons are from Taylored Expressions.

Are you ready to see more?!
Well come on over and stop by my Sista's sites. I know they always have something great waiting for you!!

and a big thank you for stopping by here!! I hope you have a GREAT weekend and GOOD LUCK to you!!! I hope you win!!! :)

{Prince Charming} SFYTT

Happy SFYTT Saturday to you all!!
Did you have a great week? I hope you did. I actually worked two days this week on a brand new ABC Family show called Pretty little liars. I think it airs in June. It was
great seeing some old colleagues again and the days weren't actually too long (I think I worked a 15hr and a 14hr day) but I haven't been working in a while so I'm not used to being on my feet all day anymore...soo basically my feet hurt and we used smoke on stage all day both days so my sinuses are acting up too. Oh well...nothing a few days off can't fix. :)

So originally SFYTT was going to host another sponsor this week: Skipping Stones Design but life happened and we had to postpone. I myself am new to Skipping Stones Stamps but I'm quickly becoming a fan especially once I spotted their funny stamps line. lol
Who can say no to a good giggle?! So here is my card this week featuring some Skipping Stones Design stamps. :)

I used stamps from the Funny About Men set. This set will have all your girlfriends laughing. I felt the circle was a bit too white so I sponged some Lake Mist ink around the edges and colored in a shadow for my frog with a Copic Marker.

The papers I used are all from the Boyfriend collection by Cosmo Cricket. This is such a cool collection!! I just looooove it!! :)

Are you ready to see what my SFYTT sisters have come up with? Cuz' you know it's going to be fabulous!!
* Jen del Muro and a big thanks to our May Guest Designer Chupa

Thanks so much for stopping by, have a GREAT weekend and can't wait to see what you create!!!

{Getting Lucky} SSDS

Happy Thursday you guys!! It's been quite the busy stamping day for me today so guess what...I'm back with my second post today.

I'm in need of a funny male birthday card because our Soundmixer on ER (the TV show) is turning 40 and the gang meaning my old ER crew is planning a big surprise bash for him. He is a great guy with a great sense of humor so I was extra excited when I got my first order of Skipping Stones Stamps in the mail yesterday.
They have some outrageously funny stamps!!! And I used one of 'em here!!! :)

Also my fabulous and
famous SFYTT sister Jen del Muro is guest designing for them and she came up with this fun sketch a few weeks ago and I thought why not?!
The only thing I changed was I traded the oval for the square - I'm so excited I finally have some oval Nesties I try to get good use out of 'em. :)

Since this is supposed to a cool manly card I tried to keep it a bit more on the simpler side. I did minimal stitching, some distressing to add some cool-ness to it and added some screw brads.

Thanks so much for stopping by!! I still have a few more cards to make!! :)
